I didn't read the description of this apron carefully enough and was very surprised to see what it looks like - very stiff and "plasticized". I can't see myself ever wearing this kind of material just to cook ordinary things inside the house. Perhaps other people would love it for cooking outdoors. However, I'm keeping it as a purely decorative item to hang somewhere in my kitchen because the rooster design on it is so great!

My mom really knows how to work the kitchen-and while she's cooking there's always an interlude where she takes the time to clean up after herself so there's not a big mess at the end. The thing is that an extraordinarily expensive apron I had bought her last year with ruffles and lacethat cost me more than $100really did not amount to much in her kitchen but for a decorative piece that was only worn once the food was done and guests were there momentarily to show it off. The reason was because it was delicate and made of cloth; it would have stained quiet easily when she cleaned any of her pots and pans and been ruined forever. I bought her the cat and rooster one and she LOVED it! She used it the same day when she decided to cook something else (despite what was already prepared) and the stringent folds soften up quite readily after use and it becomes more flexible but still strong and stain resistant. Honestly, it doesn't look bad! I mean, it's not very expensive but it looks elegant and it's the best apron she's had.

I would definitely recommend this!

This apron is for people who like to cook and clean and plan to use it for coverage while doing so. The material is very well made, especially at the seams, and I can see it lasting my mother years despite daily use.

This is your traditional oil cloth apron. Very pretty print on cloth and super well made! I would highly recommend this apron. And will be purchasing this one as a gift in the future!
