This flatware chest features beautiful wood inlay on the lid, complete with an inlaid border around the edge. The inlaid urn in the center is truly magnificent, with subtle shading, and is the main reason we purchased the chest, which does not disappoint in person. It's truly an elegant chest, and fitting for 18th Century style decor.

It holds service for 12, and easily handles large utensils. The drawer holds a decent amount of serving spoons, etc.

As a fan of fine furniture (Kindel, etc) the construction of this is not at that level, but few things are these days. I found the lid to fit well, and the general construction quality of the "box" itself was good. The lid is the star of the show, however.

When loaded with silverware it is large and heavy, so make sure you have a place to store it.

We would purchase this chest again.

Bounds makes thoroughly professional products. I have an 8" pepper mill and an 8" salt mill that have both performed wonderfully for over 3 years. No problems whatsoever. The grind settings allow for great flexibility. I use coarse ground sea salt in the salt grinder and a variety of pepper corns in the pepper grinder. Both are reliable, easy to use, and highly recommended kitchen tools.

The ring on the bottom of the salt mill broke off almost immediately, we can no longer remove the top to add more sea salt, and the interior of the pepper mill has broken in pieces over the course of the two years. There are no children in our household using these products; only myself and my husband, so the products have been handled with care.

I bought this Elmo lunchbox for my then 18 month old daughter, who absolutely LOVES Elmo. She was so excited when it arrived! It is large enough to have multiple plastic containers and a juice box, so there is ample room. It is functional and cute, but the stitching is already coming out in a few places and the Yellow tag is unravelling. We use it to go back and forth to daycare, and it isn't stuffed in a bag or anything that would put any additional wear and tear on it. I would not recommend this if it were going to be placed in a backpack or another situation where it would receive additional wear.

Have had this mill for two days, used it about 5 times. First, good part. It grinds salt and looks cute. And that' about it. Problems? Aside it arriving with multiple cracks on the bottom piece that hold the grinder, major multiple design flaws that make using this mill a horror story. 1. The size and shape of the mill make you hold onto its body which is tapered up toward the coarseness adjusting ring. The ring is spring loaded toward the bottom and that's how it adjusts coarseness by lifting the ceramic part from the stainless steel casing and opening up the grinding mechanism. The shape makes your holding hand push up the adjusting ring which releases unground salt particles. Bad shape for holding for the size. 2. The metal turning arm is in contact with the rotating adjustment ring to the bottom and with the locking knob on top. When you turn the arm both of those move as well automatically changing the coarseness for you or loosening the top knob. 3. The knob on the crank doesn't turn so when you crank it's not smooth and uncomfortable to grind more than a little bit. 4. The size of crank arm is too short making the crank jerky. Overall not smooth. Pass this.

That's about it. I'm sending this one back. Can't stand how it's designed.

I too use it for my Himalayan sea salt. You have to use coarse grind salt. I used to get the chunks out too, until I put on my glasses one day and saw how to get the mill to do the fine grind. This is my bad, not the mill's. I have had mine for 4 or 5 years and am very pleased. Will get another so I can use it with Salish smoked salt. This is a great way to add smoked flavor to soups and such without using smoked meats.

I bought some Himalayan Pink salt which looks nice in the clear acrylic. But even on the fine setting, it lets larger chunks through and isn't as fine as I like. The handle jumps forward in a jerky motion, getting more salt on food than you wanted. You have to crank the handle in the direction of the fine grind on the dial, if you don't the dial sometimes skips to the medium setting. The nut on the top loosens frequently. You'd be better off buying a traditional mill in the acrylic.

For the most part what other reviewers have said of this mill is true. Yes the nut loosens over usage, if you grind it counterclockwise it'll skip to medium, and it leaks salt as most mills do (that's what salt and pepper holders are for).

However, even with those faults it's a damn fine grinder at this price point as it actually crushes (not grinds) the salt crystals which makes sea salt flaky and taste like something magical.

We have gone through two of these. The first one cracked in the bottom, as other reviews have noted for the salt and the same style pepper grinder. The cracked pieces fell into our food, and I was lucky enough to find it so I didn't have to throw it out to avoid having someone choke on acrylic salt shaker pieces. Also, the grinding mechanisms stops working after a while, like the salt is eating away at it or something. Maybe this happens to all grinders? And, as others point out, the grind changes while holding it and is uneven. We love the small size, but this was annoying. Finally learning our lesson and getting a different kind.

Chain Mail Cast Iron Pan Scrubber Review

Alright, $20 for a scrubber is spendy but every review I read said this was a MUST for cast iron and I'm here to shout from the rooftops that I agree. I recently made the switch from toxic Teflon to cast iron and I am LOVING how my food tastes but I must admit I was wary of cast iron cleanup (no soap, no dishwasher). I'm concerned with getting the pans truly clean so I don't somehow make my 5 year-old sick and a germy sponge on something that won't be run through the dishwasher sounded like a bad idea. This scrubber arrived a week after I switched to my cast iron pans and it made things MUCH easier. I've been using the Lodge Double Play grill/griddle like a cookie sheet for baking. I've baked on cheese, sticky sugar you name it and this chain mail scrubber busted it off in an easy pass or two. Tonight I made a roux (read: flour-based glue) in my Lodge 10 inch skillet...and then left it on the stove where it dried out until I got to it two hours later (see: 5 year-old). This scrubber whisked it away under hot water as if it was butter. Chain Mail scrub time per pan: less than 1 minute. Chain Mail scrub time for the worst pan mess I've managed to create: about 1 full minute. Bonus that my son and husband think its cool and do the cast iron scrubbing for me. Did you read that? THIS CHAIN MAIL SCRUBBER TRIGGERS SOMETHING IN THE MALE GENOME, CAUSING THEM TO DO THE DISHES! That is worth $20 alone right?!!

Rest assured that it cleans very, very well. Now let me tell you why else I love it and why I bought one for my "doomsday prepper" mom. The thing is INDESTRUCTIBLE and will last for years and years before it comes close to needing to be replaced. (She hadn't yet thought of stockpiling plastic dish scrubbers and now she doesn't have to. This thing will easily last longer than a dozen packs of sponges.) Another bonus I thought of today while chopping onions it's stainless steel and can do the same thing those stainless steel bars of soap do: remove tough odors when you rub it over your hands. (Just make sure you keep the chain mail clean or you'll smell like onions AND bacon grease!) Another reviewer said to leave it in the sink while you wash other dishes, which is a good suggestion. Also, soap won't hurt this. Just rinse well before it touches your cast iron again.

Need more reasons to buy it?

* Its environmentally friendly and makes a great gift for your Eco friends/neighbors/in-laws.

* You can easily pack it for camping. It will scrub just as well in brownish green lake water!

* There is NO WAY it can melt in your dishwasher.

* It brings that extra touch of Medieval-chic to your kitchen.

* If you hate it (honestly, sister?) downgrade it to a more humiliating use, such a coaster. Some man will eventually find it and start doing your dishes!

This is a very high quality product with an exceptional guaranty at a very good price. I purchase this product because I was looking for something a little better than the brush Lodge offers for cleaning their cast iron pans, something that will not wear out so quickly. The CM Scrubber is definitely something that will last a lifetime just like I expect my cast iron skillet will. I have owned the CM Scrubber for only two days now and both cast iron pans that I cleaned with this product now have scratches in the "black seasoning" right down to what I interpret as the gray cast iron surface. I admit, I am a novice with cast iron cooking products, and I agree that this product cleans well, but maybe a little too well. I still gave it three stars for its high quality; it just doesn't work as I had expected.

UPDATE: I cleaned and re-seasoned my cast iron pan with vegetable shortening per the instructions on Lodge's website. Over the past 45 days I have had no more issues with the CM scrubber scratching my cast iron pan. Just a light scrub with some warm water in the pan cleans away any food particles from the pan; then wipe with a paper towel and you're done. Occasionally reapplying some shortening and heat to build on the seasoned layer when necessary. In addition, I now use the CM scrubber to remove any stuck on food from cooking rice and other things on my stainless steel pots. The CM scrubber works great on these too, no more scrubbing pads on my sink. The CM scrubber is a great product and would make an excellent gift. Upgrade rating from 3 to 5 stars!

A lot of products make one claim or another. They often fail to perform to the expectation they set. For $20, which is a lot for a scrubber, I was wondering if this product could live up to the claims on their website. The Cook's Illustrated review pushed me over the edge.

Bottom line, this is a great product that does what is claimed. No amount of salt and elbow grease with a brush or paper towel could clean my cast iron skillet this well. Before this product I'd never even put my cast iron in water, much less used metal to clean it. But after one cleaning my cast iron looks and works better than ever. The seasoning does remain intact and the pan has never been so clean.

The chain mail scrubber (coincidentally by CM scrubber) is an amazing little invention that anybody with cast iron cookware needs. I heard about the scrubber from cooks illustrated and decided to give it a shot after always having to use a lot of elbow grease to clean my cast iron.

My only concerns when first using the scrubber was that it would remove the seasoning on my pans, but I haven't noticed that yet. They're still looking, and cooking, well.

Some people have mentioned that cleaning the scrubber is a bit of a problem, and if you have a lot of heavy, oily grit the scrubber will pick up the bits and the oil. I just let the scrubber sit in the sink while washing other dishes and let the soapy run-off do the work.

Oh, and also, while this does the job, you still need to do a little scrubbing to really get everything off the bottom of your pans. Ignore the loud scraping noise; everything is fine; keep going and you're all good!

This is the best ever scrubber for cast iron. I bought it because the members of my household were trying to clean a cast iron fry pan with a cloth rag, steel wool pad, or plastic scrubber and lots of detergent. That method was totally ruining the finish of the pan with food sticking to it as the inevitable result. This Chain Mail scrubber gets all the pieces of food off the surface of the pan without removing that painstakingly acquired finish resulting a clean pan to which food does not stick. I can fry eggs in this pan now. Extremely sturdy, you won't need to buy another one anytime soon. After use I just dry it with a towel and hang it with pan. An excellent product that arrived on time and in good condition.

The box dispenser needs work. Or else the perforations need to be deeper between each square so that they break free more easily when pulled. Invariably I have a wrench or a greasy part in one hand, and have to wrestle with the box to pull out a single paper with the other hand. I will keep them, use them up, and probably order again, but may put an old starter motor on the box so it will stay put while I snap a towel out of there.

Loved this little rail when i first saw it and didn't hesitate to buy since i also love the reusable cloths. But we just came back from being away for a few days and found that the little plastic knob is cracked and broken. Not sure how it happened as our nanny must have done it but i'll be contacting them for a replacement. It was otherwise pretty handy. If you have a somewhat smaller sink it can be a little bothersome and be in the way sometimes but the clean look and having somewhere to hang it besides over the faucet handle is well worth the minor inconvenience. Easy to install/hang and never had a problem with it falling off. When it did crack, we contacted customer service via email on their website, they were quick to respond and send out a new one. Again, we've been using the cloths for a year now and love them, and now the rail completes the set, great product, much needed.

At first I thought it looked cheap and was over priced for what I got. We installed it in our sink using the crazy strong magnets that come with. It stays put, no more digging under a pile of dishes looking for the dish cloth. I really like it and am very satisfied.

**Update: 4 months later the rack has become disconnected from the magnet on one side. We tried to glue it back and it just doesn't hold. For the price I expected more than a few months wear out of it. What a disappointment.

First, these are way too small to fit into a guest towel holder. They are definitely designed for a commercial on-the-wall holder. I rectified the situation for the time being by stacking some vertically behind the flat stack to provide a better fit. They also are interconnected so I had to first separate a stack of them to place in my holder.

Next, they are very rough feeling. My paper towels in the kitchen are softer!

We are converting to single use towels in all our bathrooms to avoid sharing a towel and the associated germs. I will use some of these for cleaning uses in addition to hand towels until they are used up. They will do for now, but will not reorder for home use. I gave them 4 stars because they are probably okay for a commercial use, but still could be softer.

The Kleenex Multifold Hand Towels absorb water well from the hands, and are friendly to the touch. Good quality paper in that it will not shred. I have been using these paper towels in my office treatment rooms and rest room for more years than I can count.

The chest is very nice and fits the decor of our home, a nice addition. We have a 16 place setting of antique sterling flatware that didn't fit in the case we had, this works out well.

However the manufacturer used screws that were too short to hold the bottom on the chest. The screws had pulled out and the bottom was not attached. Luckily there was no damage to the exterior and I had some longer screws I could replace them with so we didn't have to send the chest back.

This item arrived with the exterior and interior packing intact, yet two of the four canisters were cracked (one actually had a lower corner broken off). I had stated to the person with whom I'd placed my order that I needed STURDY glass canisters, as they would be frequently used, and would rest on stone counter tops. I was assured that these would hold up well, so was persuaded to purchase them.

MISTAKE! When I called the seller to return them, I was told no, there would be replacement canisters sent out for the broken ones. No, I told them; if they can't make the journey intact, they certainly won't hold up to heavy use in a busy kitchen, and I wanted my money back. I actually had to ARGUE with the "customer service" representative to get the refund that their return policy promised me.

Definitely not worth the aggravation or the poor quality product. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to buy quality canisters and avoid the headache. Yes, they'll cost about $65 apiece, but at least you'll have something you can use and enjoy for a long time.

I purchased these at Daffy's a discount store in Nyc where they retailed for $19.95. Well I guess you get what you pay for! They look attractive coming out of the box but the green coating which I thought was in the glass started peeling off not a good look after I put them in the dishwasher. Sorry to say I threw away the large box before washing them so I cannot return. Now I can use them but will keep them out of sight.

I read in a customer review that the canisters broke easily but I purchased them anyway. I thought that it problem had to be a set that slipped through quality control. I still like the design and love the color, but the earlier reviewer was correct. The smallest size of my set lasted for about 3 months. Then one corner just crushed after someone set it down a little hard. I filled the corner with epoxy putty and kept using it, thinking I had gotten past the glass flaw. Today another corner of the same canister crushed. I again applied epoxy but it set too fast and was very rough. I sanded the epoxy and its edges. Imagine my surprise when the amber color sanded off! The glass is not amber, it is painted amber. What would I like to have at this point, after several months? I would like a new smallest canister. I would reinforce the corners immediately. I am not recommending the set for any one else. I found others that were nice, there was a reason this set was the least expensive.

I bought this set in green about a month ago. A couple of weeks ago I sat the smallest canister down and the counter and one of the corners cracked, spilling coffee beans everywhere. I figured it was a freak accident, and that I had just set it down wrong. However today, while trying to get some sugar out of the second largest canister, I put my thumb trough the glass. Now, maybe I'm the she-hulk, or maybe, just maybe, these dumb ass canisters was made of such shitty glass that they are bound to break. I'm shopping now for replacements before I bleed out in my flour. If you want to avoid stitches, I sugest you spend a little more cash and get something worth a damn.

Case looks just like the image. Wasn't disappointed. I love butterflies and bought this case in a few of the colors. Just back cover-some cases have both the back and front and "click" together vs this on which just slides on your phone. I have dropped my phone a few times and it's been fine. I would also recommend a screen protector though since this case doesn't provide that if you drop it on its face, it could easily get scratched.
