Some spoon rests are not weighted properly. Some vertical spoon rests are not big enough in the base for more than one small spoon. Some vertical spoon rests have a back that's too tall for short handled spoons. Who would know this? Well, if you are looking for a spoon rest which hits it out of the park in all areas, this is it. So glad I bought this one. The cup is just deep enough to catch drips and the back is a perfect height for all my spoons and the whole thing is weighted properly and balanced so I can fit a few spoons ...even a ladle... in there without worrying about tipping it over. This one was a few bucks more but it is well worth it. I like the bronze....it goes with vintage, modern, or traditional. I do believe it comes in Chrome, too. Nice on my counter, too. When not in use, I leave it on the counter and I set 2 very cool hand made wooden spoons in it. Great buy.

This spoon holder is nicely weighted and shaped, haven't come across a utensil that I have that it hasn't been able to hold yet. The bronze colored one also looks great on the stove. The bottom bowl part comes out too, making it very easy to clean.

I've been looking for a spoon rest that didn't take up so much space on my stove top. Most of them lie flat. This also matches some of the other kitchen items I ordered (fruit bowl, napkin holder, paper towel holder). The dish removes easily to wash and the base is sturdy.

This holder is not only beautiful on our counter, it actually works much better than the older flat spoon holder we were using before. I know, I know...but it only holds spoons so what's the big deal? Functionality and looks in a kitchen that's right at the main entrance to our home. So with us, it makes a difference. This not only looks good, it's a conversation piece...no one knows what it's for at first. It doesn't look like a kitchen utensil.

I searched and searched for an oil rubbed bronze spoon holder, to no avail. When I read the great reviews for this one I decided to buy it, even though it was a little more expensive. I'm really glad I did. It matches our ORB finishes in the kitchen, takes up MUCH less space, looks really good, and works even better. Since they're standing up, one spoon won't drip on the other. I've had 3 large spoons standing up in it and all fit perfectly. Teaspoons, of course, are too short to stand up (at least, mine are) but they lie flat without falling out. The removable plate is easy to clean, too.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants the ORB look with great functionality. It's very classy looking.
