These seem to be fairly decent canisters although they are VERY hard to open the first time. I got the 5-piece set for $20 from Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

I ordered these because I thought they were a reasonalbly priced canister set. When I recieved them I didnt think they were even worth the $25 I paid for them. They are hard to open at first, and the metal around the casnister is loose on a couple of them. They are also cheap plastic and already scratched. I am returning them.

One of the things that I noticed is that when I cannot see what I have stored in my canisters, I forget what I have. These make it very easy to see at a glance exactly what ingredients I have on hand. They are also nice to look at and keep ingredients air tight ... they also don't break or pop open when they fall. I like them so much that this is the second set that I purchased from Amazon.

I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond with the intention of buying canisters to hold bird food. (Yes, food for my bird.) I love these containers. I've been using them for a year or two ago, and have at least half a dozen large ones, and a few others of various sizes. Currently, they're being used to hold tea, bandaids and bird food, in different locations. I've dropped them a couple times on carpet, and seem fine. They received four stars because they're almost impossible to get open the first time, but after then it's fine, and a few of them are a tad different. I should have noticed, as I bought it in store, but one of them is missing the rubber on the top, but it's more likely that someone or their child pulled it off. I like how I can use them for anything. They're clear and metallic, so they match about everything. I personally prefer these (in terms of looks) over the metal ones, as these can match about everything, and metal doesn't. I also prefer these over ceramic containers as they're lighter, likely cheaper, and won't break on impact with anything. I don't think I've used these in the dishwasher, but they appear to be top-rack friendly, though I'd prefer to hand wash them. Fully recommend these for basically everything.

I have had these jars for a couple of months. At first, I was very happy with the quality and look of the product but off late I have noticed that the metal clamps are starting to rust, without having washed these jars too often.
