Our first version of this grinder finally gave out after 25 years of daily use, so we ordered a replacement. This newer version works flawlessly and I expect to get another 25 years of use from it. That works out to about a dollar a year, and I call it a bargain.

A dear friend of mine recommended this Shake and Twist Combo and based her questionnable reputation on it as the best salt and pepper shaker she found on the market. I must say that I agree with her 100% and recommend this to everyone who uses either salt, or pepper.
Best Deals for William Bounds Shake N Twist Combo
This is my second William Bounds combination salt and pepper mill. My first finally got too grungy and was ready for replacement after fifteen years or so of constant use. I couldn't find an exact style replacement and decided to go with this see-through version from Amazon. After using it for several weeks I'm sure I'll be equally satisfied. I really like the ability to choose fine, medium or coarse grind. The operating mechanism is of high quality and dispenses pepper perfectly. I doubt a finer grinder can be purchased at this terrific price and Amazon delivered it in record time, as always!

Great product, well made (in the U.S., too!), but one problem is salt comes out of the top spread over a couple of inches, a little hard to direct the salt and the quantity.
