I've purchased a lot of these cloths over the past few years for my business, because they WERE great. Very absorbent, looked great, and held up great under lots of use & washing. But the last time I ordered the green & blue ones, I received a different product. The manufacturer is using a different fiber now, not a true micro fiber anymore. They look almost the same, but the fiber is not absorbent at all it just pushes water around if you're drying dishes. If you're polishing a mirror the old ones were fabulous, but the new ones just smear grime & water around and don't remove anything. I'm very disappointed!

Ordered these celery green kitchen towels along with the blue microfiber dishcloths. While I love the dish cloths, these towels are too small. Seem to wash & dry well. Don't pick up as many kitchen smells (like onions) as cotton towels. I should have paid attention to the size, or measured my current cotton towels. If you don't mind that they're a little small, so far, these are great.Update 11/29/11 -I've retired these towels to my linen closet for household cleaning. They're just too small for hand towels/kitchen towels.

I get these ideas sometimes . . . going green and saving paper towels seemed like an interesting challenge. So I got four sets of these towels (total of 16), along with 24 of the matching washcloths, two fabric grocery bag "socks" to hang on a cabinet, and a small wire mesh trash can. I stuff the towels into one "sock," and the washcloths into the other, and then "dispense" them as needed for kitchen clean-ups that once would have required a paper towel.
I wash dishes, wipe down counters and appliances, dry dishes, dry hands, mop up spills . . . everything. Rinse, wring out the water, and drop into the wire mesh trash can where it can air dry without getting gross.
It takes me about two weeks to fill the little trash can, then I toss them in the laundry, dry them with no fabric sheet, and stuff them back in the top of the grocery bag socks ready to go again. They dispense as easily as paper, but just keep going and going and going.
I figure I use about half as many paper towels as I did before.
The towels themselves are great. They clean and polish just like you'd expect from microfiber, and they come beautifully clean in the laundry. And the colors are cheerful and bright.
The only complaint I have is that when it comes to drying hands, the towels are a little "grabby." They don't wipe your hands dry the way a regular terry towel does, and if you have dry skin, it tends to cling. But if you just pat your hands dry instead of rubbing, they do a great job. But that's just the way microfiber is.
The only negative is that the towels could be a bit bigger. But they're sized as advertised, so I can't complain about that either.
I love the towels (and the washcloths), and love that I'm going green and feeling sort of clever at the same time.

Oh my gosh!!!! I ordered these dish towels and dish cloths back to back. I don't think i'll try any other brand after getting these. Also great fun colors to choose from. Just so everyone knows the towel is shorter in length atleast 3 inches but they work so well i don't care. Thank You (It's the small things that can make you happy!)Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Gourmet Classics Microfiber Kitchen Towel, Set of 4
One highlightening factor it states 'do not put these towels near any hot items' meaning in a hurry you can't just grab this from the counter and use it to spontaneously take something out of the oven or use it to assist a heavy weighting pan with the oven mitt. Right away that deserves a ONE STAR. I thought I was purchasing a new fiber dish towel set not something anti-heat. Forget this ladies, however, the color is beautiful green that deserves the ONE star.U-P-D-A-T-E: April 14, 2013
Been using these dish clothes since January and still dislike them. Still enjoy the colors but that microfiber material so irrating to the dry hands. Every time you use them you run for the hand cream. I was foolish enough to purchase two (2) sets green & yellow. I recently grab one with one hand to help the Mitt covered hand balance a large pan, over set at 400 degrees, to take it out of the oven and Guess What? Yes, it burned. So they don't care for HEAT another disadvantage.
